CORE VOLUNTEER TEAM - The core team is amazing group of diverse and talented individuals who make the TEDxChicago experience come to life every season. They work together to set the direction for each event. This team works with each other and the community throughout the year. You can see our current core team here.
DAY OF VOLUNTEER TEAM - Day of volunteers energetically make the event on day of an exceptional experience. All volunteers are expected to attend information sessions ahead of the event. Volunteers are TEDxChicago ambassadors and hosts and are expected to be comfortable talking with anyone about the events and pass on information in their communities.
All volunteers must do the following:

Follow through on tasks and commitments you sign up for
Attend organizational meetings in person or virtually as requested
Attend conference setup and break down
Perform day-of conference duties that you have signed up for
Volunteering with TEDxChicago
We are incredibly proud of the team of people who come together: They believe and live out TEDxChicago’s values, and are talented, experienced, and diverse. Most join the team because they want to make an impact on the Chicago community, be part of something inspiring, learn new skills and face new challenges, and also find joy in building friendships and making new connections.
Below are the teams that makeup TEDxChicago, and each core team volunteer finds a home in one, but may contribute to multiple. We work to align your experience, goals, and what you’d love to learn and where you are passionate to the right team.
